The Arsenal Revival?

If recent history is anything to go by, Arsenal are currently showing classic late-season form by dropping points at exactly the time they should be rallying for a title push. Their recent poor run has seen them with only two wins from the previous 11, one of those coming as a much needed Valentine's Day victory against Leicester, which looked to throw the title race wide open.

Jump forward six weeks and Leicester have pushed on, opening up a healthy gap at the top, while it's fair to say that the Gunners have predictably faltered. Throw into the mix their recent exits in the F.A Cup at the hands of Watford, alongside a humbling experience over two legs in the Champions League last 16 to Barcelona, and some may say their season is as good as over.

That said, the title race is far from concluded, so it's not just pride and a top-four finish Arsene Wenger should be pushing for. For the first time in recent years, the main title contenders are not the usual suspects. Leicester find themselves in unknown territory, out front with 66 points, and it remains to be seen if they can hold their incredible form right to the end. Then there's the spectre of local rivals Tottenham winning the League, which is not a thought any Gunners fan will want to entertain. 

On the plus side, their remaining fixtures look promising - home games against Watford, Palace, West Brom, Norwich and Villa are all definitely winnable and therefore any fan with Arsenal tickets should be in with a good chance of seeing live goals! Leicester's run-in is perhaps more of a challenge, as they still have visits to Man United and an improving Chelsea on their horizon. Those with Tottenham tickets can look forward to Liverpool, Man United and a resilient Stoke side in their next three games, which presents a stern test. If Wenger is to prove he is not satisfied to accept third, or even second best, then he needs to make the absolute most of their run-in and galvanise his squad to truly believe that the 2015/16 Premier League title is still within reach.
