Liverpool are plotting a sensational move for Juventus stopper Gianluigi Buffon as Jurgen Klopp seeks a new goalkeeper this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Reds chiefs are mulling over a swoop for the 40-year-old whose future is uncertain. Liverpool are believed to be in the market for a goalkeeper to challenge Loris Karius for the No.1 spot at Anfield. Buffon is set to hold a press conference regarding his future on Thursday with rumours he may not hang up his gloves as was initially expected.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Manchester City are favourites to sign Napoli midfielder Jorginho after being boosted by Pep Guardiola's decision to extend his contract. The Napoli star is a £50 million target.

Anthony Martial is one of a number of players on Chelsea’s shopping list this summer as they bolster their options ahead of next season after missing out on Champions League football. The Frenchman wants regular football having grown increasingly frustrated at United, leading him to miss out on the France World Cup squad, according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are both keen to end Alvaro Morata’s stay in English football. Dortmund have turned their attentions to the Spaniard after being blocked in their efforts to sign Michy Batshuayi on a permanent deal.

A host of clubs are tempted to trigger Xherdan Shaqiri’s £12m release clause following Stoke City’s relegation from the Premier League. Everton are one of the favourites to sign the Swiss international but he is keen to play Champions League football again which is sure to alert Tottenham Hotspur.

Last, and incontrovertibly least because we’ve heard it all before, Juventus will sign Emre Can from Liverpool with an announcement to be made after the Champions League Final at the end of the month. The German midfielder is set to sign a long-term deal worth £5 million a year, according to reports.
